Johnny Gargano is regarded as the quintessential embodiment of NXT, owing to his outstanding rivalries with opponents such as Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole, and others. After a prolonged absence, he made his return to WWE and primarily engaged in a feud with The Miz. That being said, it seems Gargano was worried fans had forgotten him before his WWE return.

Gargano parted ways with WWE back in 2021 and fans were very disappointed about that fact. Following his exit, fans wondered what the future held for him. Their questions were answered after Gargano came back to WWE after Triple H took control of the company’s creative direction.

The former NXT Champion returned to WWE after Triple H took control of the company’s creative direction. However, Johnny Wrestling is currently sidelined due to shoulder injury, which saddened fans to a large degree.

“I was kind of relieved, actually. I was out of the wrestling bubble for so long, I was worried that people were going to forget me and forget what I did in this ring. And here I am, I come out and hear these Johnny Wrestling chants and people were excited to see me on RAW.

I’m sitting at home, my body doesn’t hurt and mentally, I’m feeling great. But there was thought process I was having, and that was if I wanted to go back and wrestle again.”

Johnny Gargano’s return from injury will also ‘cut it close’ ahead of the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event on January 28th. It remains to be seen whether Johnny Gargano will be able to make his return in time for the Royal Rumble premium live event.
