Johnny Gargano was a top star in Triple H’s version of NXT. The Rebel Heart left the black and gold brand to focus on his family. Triple H took over and rehired both Gargano and Candice LeRae. Unfortunately, the former NXT Champion is currently dealing with an injury.

WWE commentator Kevin Patrick revealed during RAW tonight that Gargano suffered a “grade 2 AC sprain” and, therefore, was unable to compete on the show. Gargano took to Twitter to confirm his injury. He also revealed when the injury took place. Check out his tweet here:

I injured my shoulder at a live event in Toronto (ironic?), and the medical team is going to protect me from myself for a bit.. but you better believe I’m going to do EVERYTHING I can to get back in that ring so I can be that guy you all know I can be. Just let me in that Rumble!
