Johnny Gargano was considered the heart and soul of NXT by many fans due to his excellent feuds with the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole and more. He returned to WWE after a long hiatus and was mostly involved in a feud with The Miz. He has been out of action with a shoulder injury for a few weeks now. Unfortunately, it seems Gargano’s return from injury will cut it close.

Gargano left WWE back in 2021 and fans were very sad about that fact. After his exit, fans wondered what the future held for him. Their questions were answered after Gargano came back to WWE after Triple H took control of the company’s creative direction.

The former NXT Champion returned to WWE after Triple H took control of the company’s creative direction. However, Johnny Wrestling is currently sidelined due to shoulder injury, which saddened fans to a large degree.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Johnny Gargano’s injury status and the road to recovery ahead of the Royal Rumble could be a “close call.” Meltzer stated that Gargano’s injury return will cut it close when it comes to making a return at the Royal Rumble.
