Ric Flair’s professional wrestling comeback has captivated fans around the globe. The 73-year-old has faced major health issues recently but is intent on having one last match on his terms. Details of when and where that match will take place are starting to come to light.

ESPN has reported that Ric Flair will wrestle one last match the day after WWE SummerSlam. The bout will take place after the Starrcast fan convention at the Nashville Fairgrounds. His opponent and the type of match remain unclear.

Flair issued a statement to announce his final match. This confirms that The Nature Boy is planning to wrestle. The date is set for July 31, 2022.

“I’m going to walk that aisle one last time to prove once and for all that to be the Man, you’ve got to beat the Man.”

Ric Flair has been training with AEW star Jay Lethal. Flair has shared some videos of his in-ring work. His last wrestling appearance came for AAA in Mexico, when Flair intervened in a match between Andrade El Idolo and Kenny Omega.

Bell time for the historic event will be 6:05 PM. That is a nod to the classic timeslot for WCW Saturday Night, where Ric Flair spent a large portion of his career. Flair’s comeback is sure to spark plenty of controversy, but the former world champion insists on going out the way he wants to.
