WWE introduced Rick into a storyline during the closing moments of tonight’s NXT 2.0. Bron Breakker retained his NXT Championship against Imperium’s Gunther in a hard-hitting singles match.

As the champion was about to celebrate in the ring, Rick Steiner appeared on the Titantron. Rick congratulated his soon on the victory. The camera then zoomed out to show the Hall of Famer tapped up and trapped inside a cage.

Joe Gacy and the twisted Harland revealed themselves to be Rick’s kidnappers. Gacy addressed Bron. Harland then hit the steel door with Rick trapped inside as a worried and helpless Bron looked towards the giant screen.
