CM Punk made his debut a few months ago at AEW Rampage: The First Dance and since then, he has become a huge part of AEW programming. He is a proper veteran in the pro wrestling world, which is why his opinion matters to many. He also reacted to Cody Rhodes’ WWE return recently.
During WrestleMania 38 Night 1, Cody Rhodes finally made his return to the company after years. The American Nightmare was revealed to be Seth Rollins’ mystery opponent.
The two had a solid back and forth match. Ultimately, Cody Rhodes would end up winning the match. CM Punk took to Twitter and reacted to Cody Rhodes’ return, as he said that he is happy for Cody Rhodes.
“Happy for Kev. Happy for Cody. VERY happy for Steve. Also happy for Sting. Happy for myself. Happy for Bryan. This isn’t controversial. F*ck Eddie Kingston. Oh, happy for Edge!”
CM Punk never got to duke it out with Cody Rhodes in AEW and now that is unlikely to happen anytime soon. Regardless, he is happy for Cody Rhodes and wishes him success in WWE.
