CM Punk started to show interest in making a pro wrestling return. It wasn’t very long until Ringside News was able to exclusively report that he signed a deal with AEW. All of that waiting came to an end tonight at Rampage’s The First Dance special.

The Chicago crowd popped huge as CM Punk’s music opened up the show in the United Center. Punk walked slowly to the ring, and even did a couple of stage dives into the crowd at ringside.

When he finally got to speak, Punk said that they certainly know how to make a guy feel like Britt Baker in Pittsburgh. He winged his promo, and admitted to that as well. He wanted to “feel it” again. Punk said that he’s not going anywhere, and that popped the Chicago crowd in a huge way.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, CM Punk will wrestle 10 to 12 times a year for AEW. He is starting a new chapter as this promo also included an apology to anyone who might have been upset at him leaving pro wrestling, but he had to get healthy. Therefore, he couldn’t stay around the place that got him sick in the first place. Obviously, he was talking about WWE.

This was an amazing promo that also included a big reveal as CM Punk showed off his first official AEW t-shirt. He is back in pro wrestling and CM Punk is All Elite.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
