Bayley’s WWE Royal Rumble Return Doesn’t Look Promising

Bayley has been nursing an injured knee for quite some time. The WWE Universe has anxiously been awaiting her return. A ton of online speculation points towards Bayley coming back for the Royal Rumble.

Bayley and Sasha Banks are both recovering from injuries. Bayley had reconstructive knee surgery and is hoping to be able to compete as soon as February, according to this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Sasha injured her leg at recent house show and is expected to return just before WrestleMania.

“Banks is expected back just in time for Mania, but whether with her out for so long they go in another direction is also a possibility. There is no obvious direction because nobody else on the Smackdown side has been pushed big.

If Bayley can return, she’s a big enough star. Bayley’s return from reconstructive surgery could be as early as February but is more likely March. Banks’ return is also mid-March.”

Based on that reporting, it doesn’t sound like Bayley will compete in the women’s Royal Rumble this year. There is always the potential for a surprise. Both Sasha Banks and Bayley should be back in time for WrestleMania.

The WWE Royal Rumble is always full of unexpected twists and turns. Without being a WWE doctor, it’s hard to tell when wrestlers will return from injuries. For now, it sounds like fans of Sasha Banks and Bayley should circle April 2nd on their calendars.
