WWE pulled the trigger on a title change just 24 hours before Money in the Bank.
During the October 9, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley defeated Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid to become the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Bliss and Paxley had to survive a rough stretch from the defending champions, with Fatal Influence repeatedly cutting Tatum off from making the tag and nearly putting the match away on several occasions.
Things finally swung once Alexa got back into the fight. Bliss unloaded with strikes, hit a DDT and a blockbuster, but Fatal Influence kept finding ways to stay alive.
The finish came after the action completely broke down. Alexa took Reid out on the floor with Sister Abigail, leaving Fallon Henley alone with Tatum inside the ring. Paxley then connected with Cemetery Drive and scored the three-count to officially end Fatal Influence’s reign.
