Johnny Gargano Plans To Honor Candice LeRae During NXT WarGames Match Tonight

Lately, many have been talking about the fact that Johnny Gargano might leave NXT. Also in the equation have been plethora of other NXT and WWE stars, but what of Candice LeRae? She’s out of action on maternity leave and she cannot compete in the women’s War Games match set to occur tonight.

Johnny Gargano, LeRae’s loving husband, decided to call attention to the fact that she will be missing said matchup for the first time, for “obvious reasons.” As it would turn out, he decided to honor her in a way that perhaps only a husband can: He’ll be wearing a pair of socks in her honor.

Along with the heartfelt message, he also posted a picture of the socks, and now all wrestling and Johnny Gargano fans will be thinking of those socks as the action unfolds in the ring tonight, which was probably his point after all.

“Found the perfect pair of socks for #NXTWarGames tonight! @CandiceLerae has been in every Women’s War Games match.. and for obvious reasons she’s unable to compete this year.. but I wanted to make sure she still found a way in the cage with me tonight.”

Gargano’s future in the company has been questioned as of late, as his contract expired last week. He did sign an extension in order to be able to compete in tonight’s match, but moving forward, it’s all still up in the air.

Of course the rumor mill is running rampant with the possibility that he can be appearing at AEW any day now moving forward. The precedence is definitely there though, as Adam Cole had similar circumstances leading up to his appearance at AEW. Time will tell and we’ll keep you posted should news arise.
