AEW’s inception came about at Double Or Nothing 2019 and since then, the company has done all it could to provide an alternate product to what fans see in WWE. For the most part, they have succeeded, but there is still lot of room for improvement.

AEW has all the momentum in the world right now thanks to the debuts of CM Punk, Bryan Danielson and Adam Cole to their roster, ensuring that the roster is one of the most stacked in all of pro wrestling.

Tony Khan recently stated that he can’t wait to see AEW Rampage defeat Friday Night Smackdown in ratings next week as Smackdown will be airing on FS1.

Now it seems WWE has decided to take the fight to AEW Rampage as it was revealed via an advertisement during Saturday’s Iowa vs. Penn State college football game on FOX, that the final 30 minutes of Supersized SmackDown will be commercial-free.

Tony Khan is hoping for competitive spirit between WWE and AEW similar to how it was during the Monday Night Wars, so it remains to be seen whether that will eventually happen or not.
