TNA iMPACT Results (9/24/26): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with a video package recapping everything that took place leading up to tonight, including all the attacks.
Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt then welcomes us to TNA iMPACT as Leon Slater’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Slater then grabs a mic and starts off by saying unfortunately he had to share the ring with Ryan Nemeth, but he beat the hell out of him. Slater then says after the match Nic Nemeth laid him out with the TNA World Title belt. Slater then says it made him wonder why one of the best in the world has turned into such a coward. Slater then says Nemeth sees him every week getting bigger, better and faster and he’s realizing that he can beat Nemeth. Slater then says he feels the energy and he doesn’t want to wait for the PPV. Slater then challenges Nemeth to come out right now.
Nic Nemeth’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Nic Nemeth says his brother will qualify for the X-Division Match at BFG tonight. Nic Nemeth then says the difference between himself and Slater is being a World Champion and being someone who doesn’t realize what’s good enough to make it. Nic Nemeth then insults Slater, saying perhaps it’s because his father wasn’t there for him. Ryan Nemeth then sneaks in behind Slater, but Slater asks if he really thinks he’s dumb enough not to know Ryan is behind him. He then goes on the attack.
Security and officials then break them apart as Santino Marella comes out on the stage. Marella says from now until the PPV, they are forbidden to lay one finger on each other. Marella then says if they don’t listen, there will be no second chances. Marella then says Nic will be stripped of the title and Slater will lose his title shot. Marella then says if they lay one finger on the other, the match is off.
We then head to the back, where Matt Hardy says the mystery attackers got their hands on him. Matt then says they attacked Jeff Hardy several weeks ago, but they didn’t finish the job and now Jeff is back. Matt then says he will never forget what they did to him until he gets to do the same. Matt then says no more games. Matt then says in one hour they are walking to the ring and they are demanding the attackers come to the ring and reveal themselves.
Commentary then plugs Tanea “Rebel” Brooks’ battle with ALS and they ask fans to support her.
We then see Daria Rae approached by Indi Hartwell and she says she believes she’s figured her out. Indi then says Rae is just a bully and a bad person. Rae then tells her to walk away. Indi then says Rae is a joke. Rae then slaps Indi. Indi then asks Santino Marella if he caught it on camera. Marella then says he has and the board of directors would love to see this.
KJ Orso then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Ryan Nemeth follows.
TNA Bound For Glory X-Division Championship Qualifying Match: The Nemeths’ TNA World Tag Team Champion “The Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth vs. KJ Orso
The match starts off with both men locking up. KJ Orso then out-wits Ryan Nemeth early on, targeting his arm. Both men then battle to the outside, where Nemeth hits Orso with a neckbreaker on the floor. Nemeth then brings Orso to the ring and works him over. Orso then fires back and continues to attack the left arm of Nemeth. Orso then hits a springboard moonsault and goes for a Cobra Clutch. Orso then hits Nemeth with a Michinoku Driver for a two count. He then goes for a Clutch, but is driven backwards into the turnbuckles.
He then goes for a neckbreaker again, but he is taken down and hit with a springboard into a twisting splash for a two count. He then cinches in a crossface and nearly scores a submission. Nemeth then escapes and backs off. The referee then separates them, allowing Nemeth to attack Orso from behind. Nemeth then sends Orso’s shoulder into the ring post and gets the pin for the win.
