Since its inception in 2019, AEW has strived to provide proper alternative product to WWE. For the most part, they have succeeded but there are still many areas of improvement. It seems Tony Khan also decided to respond to some controversial comments made by Nick Khan.

AEW took the world by storm back in 2019 as it was the first pro wrestling company in a very long time that made waves in the pro wrestling world as a form of competition for WWE. With the debut of CM Punk in AEW, the company’s stock has risen tenfold.

Recently, WWE president Nick Khan made some controversial comments when it came to how they will train WWE NXT Superstars as the brand will be undergoing huge revamp in the next couple of weeks.

AEW President Tony Khan took to Twitter and seemingly reacted to what Nick Khan had to say as Tony Khan stated that pro wrestling is an art form and one can’t create great wrestlers in the same way.

“Professional wrestling is an art form. You don’t create great artists by training them all to paint by numbers in the same way.”

Nick Khan also stated that WWE doesn’t think about AEW competition. However, with the amount of buzz create thanks to CM Punk’s iconic debut, we certainly wonder just how much truth is in that statement.
