Matt Cardona Still Getting Glass Removed From Himself After Nick Gage Death Match

Matt Cardona was one of the biggest stars on the GCW roster for a short time. The former WWE superstar surprised everyone after his WWE release, and he ended up giving brief appearance in AEW with a totally renovated look and image. That resulted in a death match stop in Game Changer Wrestling. He is still paying for that endeavor.

Cardona had a pretty compelling career at GCW so far. While he defeated Nick Gage for the GCW Title in death match, he ended up extremely bloody. He was even thrown pizza cutter at, while fans wanted Nick Gage to attack his wife Chelsea Green.

Gage V. Cardona was already a pretty bloody affair, but it seems like Cardona might have taken a lot more damage from it than it was planned. Taking to Twitter, Cardona revealed that he’s still getting glass removed from him that pierced his skin while he fought tooth and nail against Gage. Cardona said:

Currently at an urgent care to get a piece of glass that is still in back from my Death Match with Nick Gage removed. I bled for the GCW Universe and the locker room. I mutilated my beautiful body for the GCW Universe and the locker room. Respect me.

Cardona recently decided to retire from Death Match wrestling. He dropped his very own WWE parody video titled “My Sacrifice” for his GCW title run. Earlier this month, Jon Moxley fought against Cardona for the GCW title, and ended up winning.
