Zelina Vega was released from her WWE contract in November, 2020. She was spotted at the WWE Performance Center this week, and there are plans to bring her back. There are also several questions in this situation.

Vega was released after she fought WWE’s third party ban. She opened an OnlyFans site and continued on Twitch. Following her release from WWE, she stayed on Twitch. She was also making more from Twitch than from her WWE deal at the time.

Ringside News asked around about Vega’s return and we can confirm that it is currently being discussed within the creative team. At this time the plan is to bring her back to the main roster and not NXT.

They are still figuring out specifics right now. It is not confirmed which brand she will be on or how they will work her back into the storyline. There are a few options available for her including doing something with her husband Aleister Black’s new character.

Vega was filming some content with Simone Johnson. It’s unclear what she was doing with The Rock’s daughter at the Performance Center. The company obviously has plans for her. On an unrelated note, Vega played AJ Lee in “Fighting With My Family,” a film produced by The Rock’s Seven Bucks Productions.

Thea Trinidad was heartbroken when WWE released her. That was very hard time for her career, and she used the opportunity to talk about unionizing. We will have to see how her second run turns out.

It was previously reported that Zelina Vega was locked into contract that prohibited her from talking to AEW. Few thought that her deal was with WWE. It turns out that very well might have been the case all along.
