Tessa Blanchard was released from Impact Wrestling as the company’s World Champion. The pandemic made it impossible for her to make their television tapings for months. She is now one of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling.

On the day prior to Tessa Blanchard’s Impact Wrestling World Tile win at Hard To Kill last year, allegations came out about her. She was accused of calling another wrestler the N-word, and several accounts of her backstage bullying ways emerged as well.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is pull within AEW to bring in Tessa Blanchard. There is also some pushback on the subject considering the bullying and racist allegations against her.

AEW has people who really want Tessa Blanchard in but feel that they can’t do so.

AEW has a Women’s Division that could really use someone with Tessa Blanchard’s abilities. The rumors, baggage, and her reputation could be a real hurdle to leap over in the process.

Tessa Blanchard worked All In, the event largely responsible as the genesis of AEW, but she signed with Impact Wrestling. That kept her from joining AEW from the start. Now there is question on whether she will ever come into All Elite Wrestling.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
