WWE recently told Superstars that they are no longer allowed to work with third party companies. This was a controversial decision that even drew the ire of former US Presidential candidate Andrew Yang. This announcement has been a popular point of discussion.

Stephanie McMahon spoke to The GaryVee Audio Experience in July, and he just re-released this interview due to WWE’s current headline making decision. She discussed WWE Superstars and the opportunities that they have. She said that today’s Superstars have more chances than ever to build their personal brands.

McMahon made a point to say that Superstars can build their brands “in and outside of the ring.” Those Superstars also realize that opportunity and are taking full advantage of that.

“I think the talent we have today has more of an opportunity than anybody ever did before because of social media. They recognize their own opportunity to promote their own brand and their own voice both in and outside of the ring. The more interaction they have with their fans, the more people will want to see you perform.”

WWE owns Superstars’ real names. It is in their contracts which you can click here to read for yourself. It’s unknown if that would hold up in court, but WWE has a top-notch legal team.

At this time even Xavier Woods has no idea as to the extent of this new third party ban. Click here for Ringside News’ extensive report on the matter which includes exclusive information.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
