Mickie James Wasn’t Thrilled With How WWE Return Turned Out

Mickie James’ return to WWE RAW wasn’t met with ton of fanfare. An ACL injury took her out of the ring for a year and a half before she was able to return.

Instead of making a big surprise, James simply walked into the shot during a backstage interview. She had a match with Natalya and that didn’t end well for her either. The book isn’t closed for James, but her career is approaching the point where the end is closer than where she started.

While speaking to Instinct Culture, Mickie James had to admit that her return to the ring didn’t turn out as she had hoped. It feels great to be back in the ring, but she’s still a bit disappointed.

“It feels good to be back. I feel better than ever, from a personal stand point. I feel great. I am excited to be back. I am excited about new opportunities, new matches. As far as my return, I am a little bit disappointed, but you can’t win them all. You can’t knock it out of the park every time. The fan reaction has been amazing. I love them. I am so grateful, so grateful that my fans have always been loud and they’ve always been proud. I couldn’t have said it better myself, so I let them do my work for me.”

Mickie James and Natalya could have more matches to go in their current program. The two were also stoking the fire on social media. WWE didn’t make a huge deal about her return, but she will continue to make the most of it.
