Edge Could Be In WWE World Title Picture After Return From Injury

Randy Orton’s story with Edge is far from finished. Edge made that abundantly clear during his last promo on RAW. WWE needs to book The Viper in the meantime.

SummerSlam is the next priority for WWE as they have Extreme Rules nailed down. They might make bar fight official, but they have a full card. It has been a Horror Show getting to Extreme Rules within the company as well.

Wrestling News reports there is an idea for Randy Orton that has been pitched which will see him win the WWE Title at some point. This could happen at SummerSlam. It might also see Edge return and enter the World Title picture. In the end, McIntyre can get the title back in front of real fans.

“An idea was pitched to have Orton win the title and then defend against Edge at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania and McIntyre could win the title again at a later date to get his true crowning moment with fans in attendance.”

We’ll have to see what WWE is going to do. WrestleMania plans are not solid right now, because they don’t even know if the venue will let them hold the event. The last we heard LA still isn’t allowing massive Mania sized gatherings.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WrestleMania 37 plans “went out the window.” Edge vs Drew McIntyre is a match a lot of people would pay to see no matter where they’re holding the event.
