Edge was injured while doing re-shoots following the initial filming of the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever at WWE Backlash. When exactly did that injury take place?

Since Edge’s injury WWE had to figure out other things to do. Ringside News exclusive reported that WWE actually held Edge vs Orton II sooner than they had originally planned.

During Booker T’s Hall Of Fame Radio show, Edge stopped by and he revealed the exact moment when his injury took place during the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.

“I did a springboard into the second RKO, I went ‘ooh,’ I got the cold sweats and I feel like I’m going to throw up. That’s usually a sign, that’s where it popped. I thought, okay, I think I have a little bit more in the tank to finish this out. We got it finished.”

It’s unclear exactly how long Edge will be out of action. He could wait until the right moment even following medical clearance. It’s unknown how soon Vince McMahon will want to use him since his new mindset is to use big Superstars now.

Edge signed very good WWE contract for limited matches and appearances. WWE could always add to that deal, but it will cost them. This injury certainly wasn’t something they wanted to happen along the way.
