Roman Reigns showed up for his match against Goldberg at WrestleMania 36. Then he left after speaking to The Usos who were upset that The Miz arrived not feeling well. Reigns’ status with WWE is now something that higher-ups aren’t even certain of.
WWE is recording a lot of content this week through next week. Their goal is to film three or four episodes each of Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT. If a Superstar isn’t at those tapings then odds are they will be absent from television while those episodes air.
Ringside News has learned that Roman Reigns is not at the WWE television tapings. We were told that “all talent just got notified.”
Roman Reigns missing this run of television tapings means that he will not be featured on television unless WWE runs a pre-recorded video promo. Any footage airing of Roman Reigns in the next month won’t be taken from this set of tapings.
Reigns’ leukemia is in remission, but he will always have a compromised immune system. COVID-19 can be fatal for people with compromised immune systems. This caused him to make the decision to put his health first which he explained in a video message last week.
There is no backstage heat on Roman Reigns that we have heard. It was said that Vince McMahon was very understanding of The Big Dog’s decision.
