Matt Hardy is a very clever individual. He also has Vanguard 1 at his disposal which came in very handy in this instance.

AEW Dynamite included a teleportation segment that some people loved, but others were very critical. Chris Jericho actually “hated” the first take so they had to tape it again.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, it was mentioned that AEW changed the narrative about Dynamite’s closing segment. Bryan Alvarez explained that Hardy didn’t teleport, but Vanguard 1 used holographic technology to project Matt Hardy’s broken image around Daily’s Place.

They still didn’t explain how Vanguard 1 made it from California where he was checking on Nick Jackson all the way to Jacksonville in about an hour.

Now that Vanguard 1 is using holographic projections like Mysterio from Spider-Man that might change how some fans view this segment. It was still not ideal to shoot in Daily’s Place where things like the wind in Jericho’s hair messed with the editing.
