WrestleMania is coming up on April 7th and right now it looks like the match closing out the entire show will be Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch. Any other match trying to follow that will suffer as evidenced by the fact that the entire Royal Rumble pay-per-view hosted a dead crowd for pretty much the remainder of the event after The Man came around to win the Women’s Royal Rumble match.
Charlotte Flair is also likely going to find her way into the match as well to make it a triple threat. That seems to be the direction and there were some influential people backstage pulling to see Ric Flair’s daughter in the main event as well (I wonder who that could have been).
Bully Ray seemed to have a great answer for this dilemma on Busted Open Radio. If the match has to be a triple threat then WWE could make it an elimination match. That way everyone could see Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey wrestle and Charlotte Flair could still get the WrestleMania main event match that she was promised.
“Here’s how you make that victory [for Becky Lynch] even bigger and better. You make it an elimination match. Because if it’s one fall and Becky were to beat Charlotte, that’s complete BS. The Universe wants to see Becky Lynch pin Ronda Rousey that’s the only way it’s going to make real sense.”
If WWE makes the WrestleMania main event match an elimination triple threat then fans will also probably be much more willing to accept Flair in the match. Rousey could make Charlotte tap out followed by getting pinned by Lynch or tapping out herself to the Dis-Arm Her. Either way, WWE needs to end WrestleMania 35 with The Man holding up a big red title because the fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
