Carlos Silva is stepping into the ring—figuratively, at least. Anthem Sports & Entertainment Inc. has officially announced that Silva will serve as the new President of Anthem Sports Group, taking charge of major properties including TNA Wrestling, Invicta Fighting Championships, and Fight Network.
In a press release issued to Ringside News, it was revealed Silva will oversee the growth and distribution of Anthem’s leading brands, reporting directly to Anthem President and CEO Leonard Asper. “Carlos Silva is an incredible addition to our team, and his vast wealth of knowledge and experience in sports and television makes him the perfect choice to head Anthem Sports Group,” Asper said.
Silva, who has an impressive 30-year career in sports and media, is no stranger to growing top-tier brands. He has previously been at the helm of organizations like the Professional Fighters League and WorldTeamTennis, and he played a key role in creating the Olympic Channel by facilitating the sale of Universal Sports Network to NBC.
“Anthem Sports Group’s diverse offerings represent a wide range of exciting opportunities for growth and development,” Silva shared. “TNA Wrestling, Invicta FC, and Fight Network are each poised to make a major impact in their respective arenas.
