WWE fans still talk about the unforgettable Festival of Friendship segment between Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, and now Owens has spilled some backstage secrets about the creative process.

In newly released WWE interview footage, Owens revealed that he was the brain behind the infamous List of Kevin Owens and the dramatic reveal that capped off one of WWE’s most iconic betrayals.

“Yeah, that was really cool,” Owens shared. “It’s backwards though, because it should have been the creation of Chris, I think the way the painting is. Chris was the one who wanted the Showgirls, all this stuff. I was the one who came up with the idea for the List of KO and the reveal.”

The Festival of Friendship remains a defining moment in both Owens and Jericho’s careers. From Jericho’s over-the-top showgirls to the shocking betrayal that left fans speechless, the segment perfectly balanced humor and heartbreak. Now, knowing that Owens played a key role in its development adds even more depth to an already legendary WWE moment.
