WWE is the biggest professional wrestling company on the planet and that’s not likely to change anytime soon. However, All Elite Wrestling could provide another option for wrestlers and fans alike.

Chris Jericho recently spoke to Busted Open Radio where he expressed the hope that his inclusion in the new company will encourage others to take the chance as well.

“By me joining the company I think fans and wrestlers most importantly go, ‘Holy sh*t this is real.’ Because if Jericho went there this is real. Because a lot of people don’t know Kenny or Cody or The Bucks. We know them, but your average fan doesn’t. Your guy in the WWE making a decent living, but thinks they can do better now knows, ‘Wow, Jericho can go there I can go there too.'”

Being humble is not Y2J’s game plan at all. He knows how big of a get he is for AEW and hopes that others will follow suit.

It is in everyone’s best interest that AEW is successful. WWE isn’t going to fold because they have such a wide reach around the globe already. However, there is always room for another exciting player because nothing makes someone up their game better than having a fierce opponent.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
