WWE has plenty of Superstars right now and they might not have the spots required to feature them all equally. The popular opinion certainly seems to be that WWE is dropping the ball with a couple of them.
As WWE continues their global domination, they need as many talented performers as they can get. At this point, one Latin American star might be so big that he simply doesn’t need WWE, or at least he has a good enough warning not to trust them.
Rush has picked up titles all over Mexico and entertained millions of fans. Thanks to streaming services and the internet, Rush has also become one of the most popular Latin American indie wrestlers on the planet. WWE is obviously interested in having a guy like Rush come in, but as Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio, one of Rush’s best friends is currently with WWE and he is not happy at all.

“WWE? Oh yeah, of course, WWE would be interested in signing him. I mean you never say never, but one of his best friends is in WWE and he’s completely not happy. So I don’t think he’s in a rush to be unhappy you know he doesn’t need to be.”
“But I mean, if they offered him enough money he might do it. You watch that guy it’s like he’s commanding a lot of money because I know all the indie promotions here that wanna use him, he’s out of their price range. I don’t know what [MLW] is paying him, I haven’t asked, but I know what he’s been offered in turned down here and you know he ain’t hurting for money because he’d be getting tons of US dates at a really good rate if he wanted to work the US more and he clearly doesn’t, so. There’s your answer.”

Rush could be a big deal where ever he ends up. After all, announcing appearances for ROH and MLW made headlines.
At this rate, he might be best to stay away from WWE because he doesn’t want to end up like his best friend. In case you’re wondering, it doesn’t take too long to figure out Meltzer is likely talking about Andrade Cien Almas.
Under a mask as La Sombra, Almas and Rush took part in many battles that sold plenty of tickets during their run together. The two have also faced each other and you can see one of their wars below.
Rush probably knows other people in WWE, but possibly none as well as Almas. We have also heard rumors in the past that he is unhappy and this recent report only seems to confirm that.

It’s hard to imagine that Andrade Cien Almas would be unhappy making towns with Zelina Vega, but if you watch enough of Vega’s social media, you’re likely to eventually catch a glimpse of an unhappy-looking Andrade. As for Rush, it seems like at 30-years-old he can pick and choose his dates which is a very good position for him to be in.
