With the likelihood of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) being formally announced, there has been a lot of news over the past couple of hours. Several trademarks have seemingly confirmed that the promotion will take place in Jacksonville, FL and will be led by the members of The Elite.
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Jim Ross and Chris Jericho may actually not be involved in the new promotion as rumored. Rather, the idea is that both Ross and Jericho would work for the promotion if they’re able to get it off the ground. This would add further validity to the denials both Ross and Jericho have sent out.
As Ryan Satin explains, sources familiar to the situation have told him that it will be Cody [Rhodes] and The Young Bucks who will work behind the scenes on this show and that they’ve just told Jericho and Ross that they could be talent for the promotion if all goes to plan.
There is a lot of competition out there with WWE, Impact Wrestling, Lucha Underground, Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling and numerous other up-and-coming promotions. Backed by the Khan family, The Elite could truly become the biggest competitor in the West for WWE.
