AEW Dynamite/Collision Results (5/6/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with commentary welcoming us as Tony Schiavone talks about the legacy of the late Ted Turner, particularly as it relates to professional wrestling. Schiavone also talks about what Turner did for wrestling on the Turner networks such as TBS before introducing a man who is very familiar with this as well. Schiavone then brings out Sting.

WCW legend “The Icon” Sting then gets a nice pop on his way to the ring, where he hugs Schiavone. Tony then says that Ted was a big part of both men coming up in the business, allowing Sting to share some words. Sting then talks about Turner being an “all in billionaire” who loved pro wrestling. Sting then recounts Turner going to bat for wrestling when executives would consider cutting WCW, telling the wrestlers to “just keep wrestling” as he had deep pockets. He then says there wouldn’t be a TNT Championship or wrestling on TNT or TBS without Ted Turner so thank you Ted.

Schiavone then turns the subject to Sting’s protege Darby Allin defending the World Championship tonight. Sting says is excited to see that, especially in a city he is so familiar with over the years. Sting then says he is also thrilled that another “all in billionaire” is involved in wrestling with AEW, thanking Tony Khan for everything. Schiavone then says that the side plates of the TNT and TBS Championships show the studios that helped start it all for wrestling. We then get a ten bell salute for Ted Turner to close the segment.

The theme for Dynamite then hits before we return to ringside and it quickly changes over as Jon Moxley makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night. Renee Paquette is at ringside and she addresses the history between Moxley and Juice Robinson as Moxley arrives at the ring. Juice Robinson then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night.

AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: The Death Riders’ AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. Bang Bang Gang’s Juice Robinson

The match starts off with both men trading strikes until Robinson is sent to the ropes. Robinson then manages to fight back, forcing Moxley to the ropes for some chops. This then takes Moxley to the corner before Robinson sends him across the ring. Moxley then hits a shot of his own before being sent to the mat by Robinson, who catapults Moxley to the outside. Robinson then hits more shots and he brings Moxley back into the ring, but Moxley is back on his feet and he intercepts Robinson on his way in. He then stomps the hand before pulling at Robinson’s fingers, but Robinson hits some right hands to fend Moxley off.

Moxley then evades the Left Hand of God as he leaves the ring, but Robinson follows close behind to send Moxley into the timekeeper’s area. This then forces Moxley to seek distance from Robinson as he re-enters the ring, but Robinson sends him to the corner for some mounted punches before taking a bite out of Moxley’s head. Robinson then hits a diving cross body, but instead of pinning Moxley he continues to lay in some shots until he breaks away, escaping the ring. Back in the ring, Moxley has regained control as he continues to work on the hand of Robinson. Both men then get back to their feet before Robinson unloads some punches on Moxley, sending him across the ring for a corner clothesline.

Robinson then looks for a cannonball but gets blocked by Moxley, who drops Robinson to the canvas with a cutter. This then culminates with a powerbomb and both men are down as we get the ten minute warning. Robinson then fights to the corner for a big lariat and a cover, but he only gets a two. He then continues the onslaught but only gets another near fall before dropping Moxley to the mat one more time. He then looks for the Left Hand of God once more, wearing Moxley down only to get bitten on the forehead by Moxley. Moxley then hits the ropes and he runs into a Left Hand of God. Robinson then goes up top and he covers Moxley for another two count.

Both men then slowly get to their feet, staring each other down before trading strikes. This then turns to headbutts from both guys followed by elbow strikes. Moxley then charges at Robinson, who sends him into the corner for a roll up and a near fall. Moxley then catches him with a choke before Robinson tries to break away and this leads to a piledriver for two Moxley. Moxley then goes for the bulldog choke again, with Robinson trying to break free before being brought back to the center of the ring. Bulldog choke is then cinched in tight and this leads to a submission win for Moxley.

The winner of the AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match, The Death Riders’ AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley!

After the match, Moxley celebrates as we get a look at the rest of Bang Bang Gang teaming with the Young Bucks to take on The Dogs and Death Riders later tonight, but up next it’s the Double Jeopardy Match as Orange Cassidy faces Dax Harwood.

We then take a look at what happened earlier today, where The Death Riders continue to train with Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley is offering advice as they try to get Will’s neck right. Moxley then says Ospreay isn’t like these other people. Moxley then says it’s a privilege to be where he’s at, this close to the top of the mountain with just one percent remaining. Moxley then says he’s on death ground. Moxley then says it’s gonna be hard, but it’s the only good option. Moxley then says nothing else exists except what’s right in front of you. PAC then cuts the camera off as the training resumes.

We then head back to ringside as the Dogs and RPG Vice accompany FTR to the ring, but Dax Harwood is the one actually competing in the next match of the night as the group enters the ring awaiting the arrival of Orange Cassidy. Cassidy is accompanied by Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong before the Young Bucks make their way down to the ring as well as Christian Cage and Adam Copeland. They then head to the ring as Cassidy enters and with all that we get this Double Jeopardy Match underway.

Double Jeopardy Match: The Conglomeration’s AEW World Trios Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy vs. FTR’s AEW World Tag Team Champion Dax “The Axe” Harwood

The match starts off with both men going at it quick, with Harwood taking control with a scoop slam. Cassidy then fights back until Harwood sends him to the corner, only for Cassidy to fake Harwood out for an Orange Punch. Harwood then rolls out of the ring as Cassidy follows him, distracted by the presence of Harwood’s allies at ringside. This then allows Harwood to take control setting Cassidy up against the ring post to attack his arm. Cassidy then fends off a superplex attempt on the turnbuckle. Cassidy then sends Harwood to the mat, but takes a shot to the midsection. Harwood then sends him to the corner, but Cassidy fights back.

He then climbs the turnbuckle but ends up fighting it out with Harwood, taking a bite out of him to send Harwood to the canvas. Cassidy then hits a diving DDT for a near fall. Harwood then turns it around as he sends Cassidy out of the ring, slamming him against the announce desk before bringing Cassidy back into the ring. Harwood then mocks Cassidy’s methods with some light kicks until Cassidy rises to his feet to respond in kind. He then hits the ropes for a dropkick and he follows it up with a tilt a whirl DDT that drops Harwood down hard. He then looks for an Orange Punch but Harwood fends him off, only to be rolled up for a near fall by Cassidy.

He then gets sent to the ropes where Dave Finlay hits a cheap shot, but this is only good for a two count. The referee then leaves the ring to confront the people outside as Harwood goes for the ring bell, bringing it back into the ring. The referee then pulls it away as Cassidy hits a Beach Break for two. Harwood then blocks an Orange Punch and he looks for a piledriver, but Cassidy fights back only to be dropped with a powerbomb off the ropes for two.

Harwood then tries to bring Cassidy to his feet, but he cannot. He then tries again, hoisting Cassidy up and he takes a Stundog Millionaire instead. Orange Punch then connects, but it only gets a two count as Harwood kicks out. Harwood then goes for a cross arm breaker, targeting the injured arm of Cassidy. Cassidy then breaks free and he cinches a deep clutch on Harwood for the win.

The winner of the Double Jeopardy Match, The Conglomeration’s AEW World Trios Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy!

After the match, there is no time for celebration as Harwood’s friends come rushing into the ring for a beatdown, only to be fended off by Cassidy’s friends. Everyone but RPG Vice then leaves the ring, leaving the pair to be taken out by the faces. They then stand tall as Romero and Trent retreat to the outside.

We then get a video package hyping up RUSH, who is in action later tonight.
