A while back, an interesting rumor surfaced suggesting IWGP Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross and the various members of The Elite would be working alongside a wealthy business owner to begin a new wrestling promotion.
Up until now, the new promotion was just that. A rumor. The working idea was that Jericho, Ross, and The Elite had reached out to the Khan family, specifically Tony and Shad Khan to help them create a promotion.
It now appears as if that theory has been validated, despite Ross and Jericho both denying it through their podcasts and social media. A plethora of trademarks have been filed by a company known as All Elite Wrestling, LLC.
These trademarks are very crucial in understanding the direction of the proverbial promotion- but what is interesting is that the trademarks were filed in Jacksonville, FL and is registered to 1 TIAA Bank Field Drive in Jacksonville. This is the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The stadium is owned by Shad Khan- aligning with the idea that Tony Khan, who is the co-owner of the Jaguars, would work with Jericho, Ross, and The Elite.
The following trademarks were filled by All Elite Wrestling, LLC:

  • All Elite Wrestling
  • ALL OUT
  • Double Or Nothing
  • Tuesday Night Dynamite
  • AEW
  • AEW All Out
  • AEW Double Or Nothing

These names are fairly interesting, as it does seem to confirm that the promotion will be titled ‘All Elite Wrestling’ with the abbreviation of ‘AEW.’ Signs of a weekly television deal are shown through the use of names such as ‘Tuesday Night Dynamite.’
Furthermore, there has been talk of The Elite holding more events similar to ALL IN in the future- and names such as ALL OUT and Double Or Nothing could be seen as possible names for these shows.
To reiterate what was mentioned earlier, Jericho has denied that the promotion is being planned. Given this evidence, that is likely to change. Anyone familiar with Jericho would know he is more a man of surprises than a man of confirmation.
Stay tuned to Ringside News for any further developments to this rumor- which appears to be gaining validity at a rapid pace.
