Rusev is incredibly over but WWE doesn’t seem to want to push The Bulgarian Brute. After all, when they have an idea for how someone is used, it’s very hard to convince them otherwise.

Rusev recently spoke to a The Gorilla Position where his spot on the roster was mentioned. He was asked about any frustrations there, but for Rusev it’s more about keeping the pace he’s been on because he is sure his chance will come eventually.

“I have no control over any of that. I’m there to perform to the best of my abilities and whether I’m first on the card or last, champion or not, I mean I’m just gonna be me and keep doing what I do best.”

“Eventually, one day you know cream rises to the top. So you know I’m waiting… I’m waiting for the rise.”

Only time will tell if the WWE Universe will see another big rise in Rusev Day, but after his WWE Championship loss to AJ Styles at Extreme Rules and kicking off the kickoff show at SummerSlam, it might be a while until we see Rusev get back on top. But he’ll be waiting.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
