Raw and SmackDown Live were both in Montreal this week and each show had an excellent live crowd. Canadian crowds are usually passionate about pro wrestling and this week was a prime example of that.

Dave Meltzer brought up WWE’s television this week on Wrestling Observer Radio where he discussed how some fans ended up buying tickets to both shows due to the Superstar Shake-Up moving their two hometown boys around after tickets had already been sold for the show.

“There was some slight of hand there because what happened was SmackDown had way more tickets sold because Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were on SmackDown then they got moved to Raw. So a lot of people who bought SmackDown tickets instead of Raw tickets bought Raw ticket but they already had SmackDown tickets. So both shows did quite well. That’s why SmackDown did a much better crowd than they usually do.”

It’s a good thing both shows were good or some fans might not have been too happy about this. But at least they got to see their hometown boys Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on Monday.
