While discussing Daniel Bryan’s status on the latest installment of PWInsider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson reported that the WWE creative team has been told to put together a list of replacements for Bryan as the General Manager of SmackDown. This would mean that the company doesn’t have someone “set in stone” as his replacement yet and are still drafting up names.

“Speaking of the GM, I meant to mention this earlier. A final decision has not been made but the creative team was told to put together a list of potential replacements for Daniel Bryan.”

As previously reported, it’s been speculated this week that Hulk Hogan could be Bryan’s replacement on the brand because the company needs a strong solid character to head the show as an authority figure. It remains to seen if Hogan is brought in as Bryan’s replacement.

We will keep you updated if we receive any other information regarding the new General Manager of SmackDown Live.
