Hangman Page has been missing from AEW TV, and now The Young Bucks are giving fans a little update on what he’s been up to.
Page has not been around since his brutal Texas Death Match loss to MJF at AEW Revolution, where things got ugly fast and the stipulation left him unable to challenge for the AEW World Championship again. AEW was planning time off for him after that match, and fans have been wondering when he might finally pop back up.
During a Q&A on their YouTube channel, a fan asked when Hangman Page would return. The Bucks did not pretend to have an answer, but they made it clear they are still in touch with him.
“When will we see Hangman again? I have no idea. I have no earthly idea.”
Matt Jackson then jumped in and said they still speak with Page: “We talk to him though.” Nick Jackson added that Hangman is doing well away from the ring, and apparently, he has found a much quieter hobby during his AEW break.
“Talk to him every week, every few days. He’s doing well. He’s loving planting his flowers. Yeah, he’s into that right now.”
Matt kept it simple while describing Hangman’s new source of happiness: “That’s his great joy.” Nick also pointed out that Page had a rough year before stepping away, so this time off sounds like a real chance for him to breathe.
“He had a hard last year though. He worked super hard and now he’s enjoying the fruits of his labors, right?”
That is not exactly a return date, but it does tell fans Page is doing fine while AEW keeps him off television. After everything that happened with MJF at Revolution, it looks like Hangman is getting some distance from the chaos before whatever comes next.
For now, Hangman Page’s AEW return remains up in the air. The Young Bucks clearly do not know when he will be back, but they made it sound like he is healthy, peaceful, and enjoying life outside the weekly wrestling grind.
Do you think AEW should bring Hangman Page back soon, or should he stay away longer before making his next move? Let us know your thoughts and drop your feedback below.
