The inaugural AEW Redemption pay-per-view took place on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The company stacked a decent pay-per-view, and that included a few big title matches.
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage put the AEW World Tag Team Championship on the line against the hard-hitting duo of PAC and Claudio Castagnoli. This match gave the two veterans a chance to tangle against two of the most dangerous men in the company.
The former Edge and Christian from WWE relied on years of chemistry to gel as a great team. After all, they’ve been allies and enemies throughout their whole careers. Meanwhile, PAC and Castagnoli wanted to shove things to their side with pure power and aggression.
The match got started quickly as Adam Copeland was ambushed after his entrance. Christian was also attacked before he knew what to expect, and that put E&C at a disadvantage.
Things didn’t get any better for Adam Copeland or Christian Cage. Claudio nailed a swing on Cage, and then he prepared for a piledriver, but Cope saved him from the move. After that, Copeland fought both Pac and Claudio off. Copeland had both opponents to fight off as Cage was kept out of the ring, and things didn’t look great for the Rated R Superstar.
In the end, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage won the match to retain their titles. Then the Young Bucks made their way down to the ring. It was then announced that they will face each other for the AEW World Tag Team Titles at All In on August 30.
