The Young Bucks were asked the wrestling question fans never stop throwing around — could AEW and WWE ever actually work together?
During a Q&A on YouTube, a fan brought up the idea of AEW and WWE collaborating through some kind of expanded Forbidden Door event. Matt Jackson read the question out loud, though he seemed to miss part of it.
“Is there ever a chance to collab with WWE for… I missed the thing. Something about a future extended Forbidden Door would be groundbreaking.”
Nick Jackson didn’t shut it down. In fact, he sounded pretty into the idea: “Oh, I think that would be awesome.” Nick then brought up the phrase that wrestling fans hear all the time whenever something sounds impossible.
“You know, people say that’s the one thing that you could always… They say ‘never say never’ in this business, right?”
That’s when Matt jumped in with the reality check: “That might be a never though.” Nick laughed, but he still made it clear that he would personally love to see it happen someday.
“It would be awesome. I would love to do that.”
So, the Young Bucks aren’t exactly teasing an AEW-WWE super show, but they also didn’t completely slam the door shut. Nick clearly likes the idea, while Matt seems a lot more doubtful about whether it could ever actually happen. So for now, an AEW and WWE collaboration still feels like the wildest fantasy booking possible. Then again, wrestling has pulled off stranger things before.
