NXT Championship No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match: Mason Rook vs. Tony D’Angelo vs. Saquon Shugars
Three partners from last week’s NXT will become opponents tonight when Mason Rook, Tony D’Angelo and Saquon Shugars will wrestle for a shot at the NXT Title. They earned their places in the match after teaming up to defeat Cruz Montana, EK Prosper and Keanu Carver in six-man tag team action last week. So we’ll have to see who will get a shot at Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship.
DarkState (Cutler James & Osiris Griffin) vs. Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux
DarkState will be represented by Cutler James and Osiris Griffin when they take on Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux. James and Griffin will look to strengthen DarkState’s position in NXT, while Legacy and Van Dux get a chance to build some momentum in the tag team division. So it remains to be seen who’ll pick up the win.
Kali Armstrong vs. Lizzy Rain
Kali Armstrong and Lizzy Rain will go one-on-one as both women look to make an impression. Armstrong’s coming off a solid performance at NXT Heatwave, so fans are waiting to see if she can topple Rain once and for all.
Borne Makes a Public Apology to Tavion Heights
Myles Borne has been ordered to address what happened between himself and Tavion Heights, and tonight he is expected to make a public apology to his former tag team partner. Borne attacked Heights at NXT Heatwave after losing the NXT North American Championship and NXT Tag Team Titles. He now has to issue an apology to Heights, so it remains to be seen whether Heights will accept his apology.
