The August 11 episode of WWE NXT is shaping up to be a great show as the company will build towards the NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event. So, the company has booked solid matches to keep fans engaged throughout the night.
NXT Championship No. 1 Contender Match: Cruz Montana vs. Grayson Waller
Cruz Montana and Grayson Waller will finally settle their issues inside the ring, and the winner will leave with a future opportunity at Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship. Montana set his sights on D’Angelo on the night of his debut and Waller also made it clear he’s back in NXT to finally win the title he never got. So we’ll have to see who will win in the end.
NXT Women’s North American Championship Match: Zaria (c) vs. Wren Sinclair
Zaria and Wren Sinclair are running it back one week after neither woman could defeat the other. Sinclair defended her WWE Women’s Speed Championship against Zaria on the August 4 edition of NXT, but the match reached the time limit without a winner. The match carried an additional stipulation for Sinclair: successfully retaining her championship would earn her an opportunity at Zaria’s NXT Women’s North American Championship. So it remains to be seen who will walk out as the champion.
Grudge Match: Mason Rook vs. Kam Hendrix
Mason Rook will go one-on-one with Kam Hendrix after weeks of building. The two have been going after each other on Twitter lately and it will all come to a head this week on NXT, so fans are waiting to see who’ll walk out as the winner.
Other Matches
Lexis King will represent BirthRight when he squares off against O.T.M.’s Lucien Price. In another match, Shawn Spears teams with Lizzy Rain against his former stablemates Niko Vance and Izzi Dame. Finally, the rivalry between Saquon Shugars and his former DarkState stablemate Dion Lennox will continue when the two face each other once again on NXT this week.
