Kam Hendrix and Mason Rook apparently weren’t finished destroying each other on Twitter. One week after Hendrix roasted Rook over his dating life and a bucket of fried chicken, the two NXT talents went at it again on August 9—and this time Rook came prepared with a chair.
It started when Hendrix uploaded another AI-generated image on Twitter, this time showing himself driving a car past Rook. The message wasn’t particularly subtle.
“Can’t keep up with Showtime.”
Rook didn’t need an AI image to answer. Instead, he uploaded a photo of a chair sitting alone in the corner of a room—the infamous “cuck chair” meme—and suggested Hendrix might already be pretty familiar with it.
“You’re so right! All your BS is tiring me out. Do you mind if I use your chair for a rest?”
And that particular choice of meme wasn’t exactly random. Hendrix is married to Maxxine Dupri in real life, while Dupri is currently involved in a romantic WWE storyline with Austin Theory that has already included the two kissing on television. Rook didn’t spell any of that out, but putting that chair in Hendrix’s room made the joke pretty easy to figure out. Hendrix wasn’t letting that sit unanswered. He fired back by turning the chair itself into another shot at Rook, appearing to take aim at his size.
“That chair has a tougher match than I do Tuesday.”
And somehow these two have now made this personal twice in eight days. Their first Twitter war started on August 2 after Hendrix posted an AI-generated image of Rook dressed as a McDonald’s employee. Rook tried firing back with a jab about Hendrix’s Monday nights, only for Hendrix to bring Maxxine Dupri into it and tell Rook exactly what he thought the difference between their lives looked like.
“When I get home at night, there’s a 10 in my bed. Laundry folded. Dinner plate made. You go home to your right hand and a bucket of fried chicken.”
That would’ve been enough social media warfare for most people, but not these two. Round one had Hendrix bringing Maxxine Dupri and fried chicken into the argument. Round two somehow got us an AI car race, a cuck chair and another shot at Rook’s weight. At this rate, Tuesday might actually be the safest place for them to settle things.
