Jordynne Grace’s WWE run has hit another frustrating roadblock, and it doesn’t sound like there’s a clear end in sight. After months of barely appearing on SmackDown, a new backstage update suggests the former TNA Knockouts Champion is still waiting for WWE to figure out what comes next for her.
Speaking on The Hump, Sean Ross Sapp said Grace is still around WWE television, but the company currently has no creative direction for her despite being available to appear.
“She’s there. She’s at TV sometimes. They have no vision for her. No idea what to do with her. They’re wasting time with her.”
Sapp didn’t stop there. He pointed out that even the Main Event matches Grace had been working earlier this year have seemingly disappeared, making her absence from WWE programming even more puzzling.
“I mean, she’s only 30, but like she hasn’t been on Main Event in like a month either. Just nothing.”
Last month, it was reported that Grace had continued traveling to SmackDown tapings despite rarely making television. In one instance, WWE flew her to Lexington before sending her home without ever using her on the show. At the time, she was at least staying active by wrestling on Main Event, picking up wins over Zelina Vega and Kiana James while waiting for a bigger opportunity.
Now, according to Sapp, even those appearances have dried up. Grace’s momentum was originally halted earlier this year after an ankle injury scrapped plans for a WrestleMania 42 Women’s United States Championship Triple Threat involving Tiffany Stratton and Giulia. Although she’s been medically able to compete again for some time, WWE has yet to re-establish her as a regular part of SmackDown.
For now, Grace remains one of WWE’s most underutilized stars. And if this latest backstage update is accurate, the biggest issue isn’t injury or availability—it’s that creative reportedly still hasn’t found a vision for her.
