Then fans noticed the graphic. Displayed on one of the chairs was the promotional artwork for Punk’s Undisputed WWE Championship match against Cody Rhodes. The interesting part wasn’t the photo itself—it was what the graphic appeared to say. Instead of simply advertising Punk vs. Rhodes, the image appeared to label the bout as a Street Fight.
There’s just one problem: WWE hasn’t announced any stipulation for the match. As of this writing, the company is still promoting Punk and Rhodes as a standard Undisputed WWE Championship match, leaving two possibilities: either the graphic accidentally revealed a last-minute creative change, or someone used the wrong artwork before SummerSlam.
Just days ago, Punk and Rhodes couldn’t even finish celebrating a tag team win at WWE’s Springfield live event before tempers flared. Fan-shot footage appeared to show Rhodes catching Punk with an elbow during the post-match celebration, leading to a heated confrontation that quickly required officials to step in before things escalated further.
For the moment, WWE hasn’t acknowledged the “Street Fight” graphic, leaving fans to wonder whether Punk unintentionally spoiled a major announcement—or whether someone backstage simply made an expensive mistake.
