WWE Made Special Arrangements for Crown Jewel Post-Show Promos

WWE Crown Jewel featured several major moments inside the ring, but apparently some of the post-show reactions fans watched weren’t quite as “post-show” as they seemed. WWE had most of its stars knock out their promos before the event was even finished, so everyone could get out of Riyadh as quickly as possible.

According to False Finish, the promos featuring Cody Rhodes, Tiffany Stratton, Penta and Je’Von Evans that aired during the Crown Jewel post-show were actually recorded while the event itself was still taking place. Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn were the exceptions.

That means Cody’s comments after defeating Randy Orton in their Last Man Standing Match were taped before Crown Jewel had wrapped up. The same goes for Stratton’s reaction after cashing in her Money in the Bank contract to become WWE Women’s Champion.

New WWE World Tag Team Champions Penta and Je’Von Evans were also able to get their post-match material out of the way early after defeating Bron Breakker and Austin Theory. Rather than keeping everyone around until the cameras stopped rolling, WWE apparently worked those promos into the event itself.

Roman and Sami obviously couldn’t follow that same schedule since their match came later in the show. Reigns defeated Zayn, meaning their post-match reactions had to wait until their business inside the ring was actually finished.

It sounds like WWE was wasting absolutely no time once Crown Jewel ended. By getting almost all of its post-show content recorded during the event, the company could essentially hit the final bell and start packing immediately rather than keeping talent and crew in Riyadh longer than necessary.

What do you make of WWE recording most of its Crown Jewel post-show promos before the event had actually ended? Let us know what you think in the comments.
