Tommaso Ciampa finally got his hands on AEW gold, and Andrade El Ídolo was the one who paid the price. The Psycho Killer pulled off a massive upset during AEW Collision on November 7, 2026, defeating Andrade to become the new AEW National Champion after a wild match that saw both men throw everything they had at each other.

Ciampa came into the match with something to prove after previously failing to dethrone Andrade. The crowd was already chanting “Psycho Killer” when things got underway, and Ciampa wasted no time trying to get inside the champion’s head.

He started by demanding that referee Aubrey Edwards check Andrade’s pants, only to use the distraction to nail him with a dropkick. Andrade quickly fired back, delivering a nasty lariat and the Three Amigos to regain control.

Things got especially dangerous when rain started falling aboard the Norwegian Jewel, leaving the ring surface slippery. Andrade appeared to take an awkward landing during a sequence near the apron, prompting Edwards to check on him before the action continued.

Back inside the ring, Ciampa unleashed a brutal Psycho Driller from the second rope, but Andrade somehow managed to kick out. Ciampa then went a step further by ripping Andrade’s pants off and continuing to stomp away at the champion.

The action got even crazier when Ciampa accidentally collided with Aubrey Edwards after Andrade moved out of his path. Andrade immediately planted Ciampa with The DM and went for the cover, but Edwards was still down and couldn’t make the count.

Ciampa seized the opportunity when Andrade turned his attention toward the referee, connecting with a low blow before blasting him with an exposed running knee. Edwards recovered in time to count, but Andrade kicked out at two. Andrade wasn’t finished either. He fired back with an exposed knee to Ciampa’s jaw and nearly retained his championship, but Ciampa refused to stay down.

With both men having survived some of the biggest shots of the match, Ciampa finally found his opening. He caught Andrade with a roll-up, held him down for the three-count, and secured the AEW National Championship.

Just like that, Andrade’s reign was over, and Ciampa had accomplished what he couldn’t do in their previous championship encounter. The title change gives Ciampa a massive victory heading toward Full Gear, while Andrade now finds himself without the championship he had fought so hard to retain. After everything both men went through, it was a simple pinning combination that ultimately decided the match.
