Prior to suffering a career ending injury back in 2015 at Night of Champions event against Seth Rollins, WWE apparently didn’t have any future plans for Sting at that point.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer revealed that bit of news while answering fan questions on Twitter today.
Speaking of Sting, Meltzer also speculated that the reason he went to Impact Wrestling instead of WWE for all those years is because WWE never made him an offer.
