WWE isn’t stopping with just one Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic match tonight. The September 22 episode of WWE NXT will now feature two first-round tournament bouts, with The Creed Brothers officially joining the card against Harley Riggins and Jax Presley after WWE had already revealed Los Americanos vs. Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno to open the 2026 tournament.
Julius Creed and Brutus Creed immediately give the bracket some serious firepower. The brothers have already proven they can bulldoze teams when they get rolling, but Riggins and Presley now have a chance to pull off a major first-round upset and knock out one of the most recognizable teams in the field before the tournament really gets moving.
WWE had previously confirmed that Los Americanos will face Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno in another first-round match. That bout was the first Dusty Classic matchup revealed for tonight after WWE initially advertised tournament action without naming the teams involved.
The tournament’s return was announced last week by NXT General Manager Robert Stone, with WWE loading the field with teams from across NXT and beyond. With two tournament matches now locked in, somebody’s Dusty Classic run is going to end almost as quickly as it starts.
The rest of the card also includes La Catalina and Thea Hail teaming against NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan and NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria. Zilla Fatu, Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux will also face Birth Right’s Lexis King, Channing Lorenzo and Uriah Connors.
The updated WWE NXT lineup for September 22, 2026 now includes:
- La Catalina & Thea Hail vs. Kelani Jordan & Zaria
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round: Los Americanos vs. Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno
- Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round: The Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) vs. Harley Riggins & Jax Presley
- Zilla Fatu, Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux vs. Birth Right (Lexis King, Channing Lorenzo & Uriah Connors)
