WWE just made a late change to the September 15, 2026 episode of NXT, adding another tag team match to the show only hours before the broadcast.
Cruz Montana and EK Prosper will now team up to face The Vanity Project as WWE continues stacking the card ahead of the next Premium Live Event. The match was made official through a social media video after The Vanity Project interrupted Montana and Prosper, setting the stage for the two teams to settle things inside the ring.
The addition gives Montana and Prosper another chance to bounce back after they were involved in last week’s six-man tag team match. Mason Rook, Tony D’Angelo and Saquon Shugars defeated Cruz Montana, EK Prosper and Keanu Carver to earn spots in this week’s NXT Championship No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match.
That Triple Threat will see Rook, D’Angelo and Shugars go from partners to opponents with a future shot at Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship hanging in the balance.
The September 15 show will also feature DarkState’s Cutler James and Osiris Griffin taking on Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux, while Kali Armstrong faces Lizzy Rain in singles competition.
Myles Borne is also scheduled to publicly apologize to Tavion Heights after attacking his former tag team partner at NXT Heatwave following the loss of the NXT North American Championship and NXT Tag Team Titles.
The updated WWE NXT lineup for September 15 now includes:
- NXT Championship No. 1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match: Mason Rook vs. Tony D’Angelo vs. Saquon Shugars
- Cruz Montana & EK Prosper vs. The Vanity Project
- DarkState (Cutler James & Osiris Griffin) vs. Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux
- Kali Armstrong vs. Lizzy Rain
- Myles Borne makes a public apology to Tavion Heights
WWE NXT airs live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando at 8 PM ET on The CW, with international viewers able to watch through Netflix. Ringside News will have live coverage.
