Will Ospreay already has his first AEW World Championship defense locked in. Ospreay will defend the title against Jon Moxley at AEW All Out 2026 after the two came face-to-face during the closing moments of the September 2 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Ospreay competed in the main event alongside Andrade El Idolo, HENARE, Callum Newman and Francesco Akira against Ricochet, Toa Liona, Bishop Kaun, Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors. Ospreay secured the victory for his team after connecting with the Hidden Blade.
The celebration didn’t last long. Andrade and Kidd continued fighting after the match, forcing security to step in and separate them. Ospreay attempted to help Andrade, but Kidd caught the AEW World Champion with a low blow. Kidd then grabbed a chair and began attacking Ospreay until Moxley and the Death Riders came to the ring and stopped him.
Once the rest of the chaos cleared, Ospreay and Moxley were left alone inside the ring. Moxley picked up the AEW World Championship and held it in his hands before giving it back to Ospreay. The two then stood face-to-face as neither man backed down. AEW followed the staredown by displaying an on-screen graphic confirming that Ospreay will defend the AEW World Championship against Moxley at All Out.
Ospreay captured the title by defeating Kenny Omega in the main event of AEW All In: London. Moxley earned his place in the championship match after defeating AR Fox in a Continental Championship Eliminator Match earlier on Dynamite.
AEW All Out 2026 will take place on Saturday, September 26 at NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 PM CT.
Ospreay just survived Kenny Omega at Wembley Stadium, and now he has to deal with one of the most violent wrestlers in AEW. Moxley didn’t need to say a word during their confrontation—the way he held Ospreay’s championship made his intentions clear.
