Dralistico might already know exactly where he wants to go once his time with AEW is up. With his contract currently set to expire in December, there are now rumblings that he wants to make the jump to WWE and work alongside his brother Dragon Lee.
During a recent Q&A session, WrestleVotes was asked where things currently stand with Dralistico potentially joining WWE once he’s free from AEW. He said the talk is that Dralistico does want to come over, with the chance to travel and perform alongside Dragon Lee being a big part of the appeal.
WrestleVotes also feels WWE wouldn’t have much trouble finding something for Dralistico to do. With WWE’s involvement with AAA and everything the company has been doing with lucha talent lately, he would fit pretty naturally into the mix.
“Yeah, the rumblings are that he wants to come over, and he would like to travel and perform with his brother. He can be used great. It fits with AAA and everything WWE has been doing with luchas as of late.”
That makes all the recent talk about Dralistico’s future a lot more interesting. His original AEW contract should actually be finished by now, but Bryan Alvarez previously revealed that AEW added injury time to his deal, which will keep him under contract through December.
There was at least some talk about keeping him around. Alvarez said AEW discussed re-signing Dralistico when the injury time was added, but he also believed there was a better than 50% chance Dralistico would try to make the move to WWE.
Dralistico hasn’t exactly done much to shut down the exit talk either. Earlier this month, he posted a photo of himself behind bars and handcuffed alongside the message, “Maybe not for long?” Naturally, that got people wondering if he was counting down the remaining time on his AEW contract.
He also hasn’t wrestled for AEW in months. His last match for the company came at the June 6 Collision taping, when he teamed with RUSH and Sammy Guevara in an unsuccessful challenge for the AEW World Trios Championship.
Nothing is official yet, and Dralistico still has to get through the remaining injury time on his AEW contract. But if the latest rumblings are anything to go by, this might be less about whether WWE would have a place for him and more about what happens once December finally rolls around.
Would you like to see Dralistico make the jump to WWE and work with Dragon Lee, or would you rather see him stick around in AEW? Let us know what you think in the comments.
