Dralistico just gave fans a pretty big reason to think his AEW days could be numbered. With his contract reportedly getting close to the finish line and no AEW matches for months, the luchador decided to post a photo of himself behind bars with his hands cuffed — and his caption wasn’t exactly subtle.
Dralistico dropped the photo on Twitter and kept his message incredibly short. He didn’t mention AEW or Tony Khan by name, but considering everything surrounding his future right now, those four words immediately stood out.
“Maybe not for long?”
Dralistico hasn’t wrestled for AEW since the June 6 Collision taping, where he teamed with Rush and Sammy Guevara in a losing effort for the AEW World Trios Championship. He’s basically disappeared from the company’s ring ever since, while questions about his contract have only gotten louder.
Bryan Alvarez previously reported that Dralistico’s AEW deal was expiring “fairly soon.” Interestingly enough, Alvarez said the same thing about his brother Dragon Lee’s WWE contract while revealing that the two had trademarked the name “Hermanos Lee.”
“Dragon Lee and Dralistico both have deals expiring fairly soon, and interestingly enough they have trademarked the name HERMANOS LEE.”
That’s already enough to make the timing of Dralistico’s latest post interesting, but there’s another detail wrestling fans probably won’t miss. The whole thing feels pretty similar to something Rey Fenix did while his own AEW future was surrounded by uncertainty.
Back in January 2025, Fenix posted a photo of himself wearing a straitjacket while he was still under AEW contract. That image came during a messy period surrounding his status with the company, so Dralistico now going with his own “locked up” imagery while his deal winds down is naturally drawing comparisons.
There’s also no confirmation that any of this means Dralistico and Dragon Lee are planning to reunite somewhere once their respective deals are up. The “Hermanos Lee” trademark makes that possibility fun to think about, but neither brother has announced what’s actually coming next.
For now, Dralistico is keeping everyone guessing, but he certainly knew how that photo and caption would look. If he wanted people wondering whether he’s counting down the days on his AEW deal, mission accomplished.
