Fans watching WWE NXT on September 1, 2026 missed three matches that took place before the broadcast began. WWE used the pre-show portion of the taping to feature several NXT and EVOLVE stars before going live on The CW and internationally on Netflix.
Niko Vance picked up the biggest victory of the three matches by defeating WWE EVOLVE Champion Harlem Lewis in non-title action. Vance put Lewis away with a running back elbow to the head. The result did not affect Lewis’ championship reign because the title was not on the line, but Vance still scored a victory over the reigning EVOLVE Champion.
Reina Volcan was also in action before the broadcast. She defeated Andi Summers after connecting with a Rack Bomb for the three-count.
EK Prosper closed out the non-televised action with a victory over Viktor Zanov. Prosper used a springboard Rough Ryder to secure the win before the live NXT broadcast began.

None of the three matches aired on The CW or Netflix, meaning only the fans inside the WWE Performance Center saw the action.
